Ratten is located in the upper Feistritz Valley at the foot of the Fischbach Alps. The former mining village is now an attractive holiday resort in Joglland, but the mining museum still reminds visitors of its past. Culture lovers will also enjoy the brass band museum.

The Pretul with the Roseggerhaus and the Peter Bergner lookout tower are among the attractions that make many hikers' hearts beat faster.
From there, it is about a 30-minute walk to the Rattener Alm with the Steinriegel wind farm, the largest high-alpine wind farm in Central Europe at around 1,600 metres above sea level. The 35 wind turbines are a popular destination for excursions and delight young and old alike.
