Wernberg

Wernberg is nestled in the Ossiacher Tauern mountains, close to Villach, between Lake Ossiach, Lake Wörthersee, and Lake Faaker See. The town is particularly well-suited for visitors seeking peace, nature, and gentle exercise: hiking and biking trails, the Drau Cycle Path, the Wernberg outdoor pool in Föderlach, and the Wernberg Drau Loop are highlights of the area’s recreational offerings. The Drau Loop is considered a valuable habitat for around 130 bird species, making Wernberg a special destination for nature observation.
