Welcome to Schenna!
Schenna is situated on the sunny hill above Merano in South Tyrol, embedded in vineyards and orchards - at 600 meters above sea level.
The entire municipal area of Schenna covers an area of 48 square kilometers and extends from the city limits of Merano (300m) to the two local mountains Hirzer (2,781m) and Ifinger (2,581 m).
In addition to the village center (600m), the village includes another 6 hamlets, ranging from 716m to 1,536m: Verdins, St. Georgen, Schennaberg, Videgg, Unter- and Obertall. Each part of the village enchants with its characteristic beauty.
Popular vacation resort in South Tyrol.
In the last 50 years the former rural community has developed into one of the most important tourist resorts in South Tyrol. The privileged position, the climate, the varied and high quality offer of tourist facilities, the personal commitment and the care of the hosts have brought Schenna its success.
