In the olden days, the timber rafters rafted the timber or flose, and the transporters happily loaded the timber on the embankment. It was very lively for the numerous fairs as well. The remains of the old castle and the parish church of St. Nicholas. Anton Martin Slomšek was the senior parish priest here; a sweet poet and a national awakener. The autumn strolls in the neighbouring Dravče, St. Primoz na Pohorju, St. Vid and Šentjanž nad Dravčami are wonderful.
