Welcome to Šturovo, a town of around 11,000 inhabitants on the left bank of the Danube on the Slovakian-Hungarian border. At this point, the Danube bends and offers a breathtaking view of the dome of the Basilica of Esztergom (Gran). Next to the town, the Hron River flows into the Danube and opens up a beautiful panorama of the Kováčske and Pilišské vrchy mountains, which offer numerous opportunities for excursions.
