Mergozzo

The picturesque town of Mergozzo on Lago di Mergozzo is characterised by its historically typical houses and squares. The old alleys of Ruga and Scarpai, the Romanesque church of San Giovanni Battista on Montorfano, the small church of Santa Marta in the centre of the town and the stone houses in the Il Sasso district are all worth seeing.
On the shores of Lago di Mergozzo you will find a centuries-old elm tree, which is a protected natural monument.
