Together with the Plansee lake, to which it is connected by a 300-metre-long canal, it forms the second largest body of water in Tyrol. Hikes around the crystal-clear lakes, through the unique wild and romantic landscape, as well as the running and Nordic walking route around Lake Heiterwang offer further sporting alternatives and magnificent views.
