The city of Dinant is located in the province of Namur in the middle of Wallonia. The city is characterised by the enormous rock that piles up behind the town on the banks of the Meuse.
Dinant is also known for its Notre-Dame church with its artistic western work and the fortress above it.
Dinant is as well the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, who went down in history as the inventor of the saxophone.
