    Gasthof Drachenwand, St. Lorenz b. Mondsee (498m).

    Vom Gasthof Drachenwand rechts auf dem Fahrweg Nr.12 in südwestlicher Richtung hinauf über den Karrenweg zur Theklakapelle.
    Weiter über den Klausbach und bei der Verzweigung rechts, neben dem Bach in Richtung S aufwärts zur Wegteilung - hier links weiter auf dem Weg Nr.12. Weiter aufwärts in Richtung SO zur Bergrinne, oberhalb der Rinne schräg nach links hinauf zum Almkogel-Sattel.
    Bei der Wegteilung links in Richtung N und aus dem Wald hinaus auf den Almkogel. Weiter nach SW auf der Forststraße entlang Richtung Marienköpfl und Drachenwand. Abstieg über den selben Weg.

    Charakter: Wunderschöne Wanderung, anfangs auf gut markierten Pfaden und in weiterer Folge auf Forststraßen.

    Gehzeit: Aufstieg 1 gute Std. zum Almkogel, 1,5 Std. bis zur Drachenwand. Abstieg 2,5 Std.

    Kurze, aber dennoch intensive Tour auf den Almkogel, direkt neben dem Mondsee - fantastische Aussicht auf den Mondsee und die direkt gegenüberliegende Drachenwand inklusive. Lohnende Wanderung im Salzkammergut in Oberösterreich.

    Schöne Tour, aber nichts für Ungeübte
    Also die Beschreibung "Leicht" trifft hier definitiv nicht zu. Die Wanderung ist schon anspruchsvoll. Die Wege sind teilweise schmal und rutschig. Mit geübtem Hund machbar. Zeit Aufstieg ca. 1h 20min, Abstieg ca. 45min. Dafür sehr schöne Wanderung.
