Description: Majingsee Lake is located between Gemmi and Torrent, below Majingalp. It is easily accessible from two sides from Leukerbad in about two hours. The easy hiking trails are recommended for young and old and therefore ideal for children who can let off steam near the lake. Once you have reached the Majingsee Lake, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Torrent and Gemmi.
Directions: The start for the easy hike is "Heilbad", from where you reach the Majingsee Lake via the thermal spring footbridge. Alternatively, you can reach the lake from the village square through the "Lärchmatte". Ideally, you should combine both paths to form a circular hike.

Equipment: Day hiking bag (approx. 20 litres) with rain cover, sturdy and comfortable footwear, multi-layered clothing suitable for the weather and hard-wearing, telescopic poles, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, first aid kit, pocket knife, mobile phone, maps.

From Milan: Motorway A8/A26 direction Simplon; car transport Iselle-Brig; direction Leuk - Leukerbad.
Public transportation: Leuk can be reached by train (SBB), then by bus (LLB - Leuk Leukerbad Bus Reisen) to the starting point in Leukerbad.
Parking: Various parking options in the village of Leukerbad. Follow the local parking guidance system.
