Stage 1: The tour starts at the mountain station "Gandegg" at the Lauchernalp ski resort and heads towards the glacier "Milibachgletscher" and onwards up to the Hockenhorn. As an option you can also take the Gletscherbahn gondola directly to the Hockenhorngrat. From here you will enjoy a fantastic view over the surrounding Valais and Bernese mountain panorama before setting out for the Lötschenpass Hut. Refuel at the Lötschenpass Hut for the next stage of this tour.
Stage 2: In the second stage of this tour, enjoy the descent from the Lötschenpass Hut to Ferden via the Kummenalp. - Directions

Drive into the Lötschental from Goppenstein, past the villages of Ferden and Kippel as far as Wiler to the valley cable car station. Take the cable car up to the Lauchernalp, then continue on a 2-seater or 3-seater chairlift to the Gandegg mountain station.

The postbus runs every hour from Gampel/Steg or Goppenstein to Wiler ("Wiler, Seilbahn" postbus stop). Take the cable car up to the Lauchernalp, then continue on a 2-seater or 3-seater chairlift to Gandegg mountain station.
