Mini Via Ferrata Saas-Grund

True to the motto "small but nice", this facility on the edge of the village is a racy opportunity for many beginners to learn and practise the technique of via ferrata walking.

You reach the entrance in a few minutes and then it's a racy 150 m uphill. Difficulty K3, short sections K4. The ideal event after a beautiful day of hiking or skiing. Or when the cable cars are not running.

Requirements:
No special skills are necessary. A little athleticism and no fear of heights.

Important to know:

You need a ladder to get in. This is secured at the entrance with a chain and lock. You can get the key at the Hotel Alpha, Saas-Grund or at Zurbriggen Sport.

From the station to the start: 5 min

Descent from the summit to Saas-Grund: 20 min

The Saas Valley is easily and comfortably accessible by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad.

From the north, you can reach us via Bern using the Lötschberg car transport. Discounted tickets for the Lötschberg car transport are available at the tourist offices in the Saas Valley.

From the east, you can reach us via the Furka Pass or the Furka car transport.

From the south you can reach us via the Simplon Pass or Simplon car transport and from the west you drive via Lausanne along the Rhone Valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee.

From Visp, drive south in the direction of Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout after Stalden, take the second exit towards Saas-Fee. In Saas-Grund, turn left in front of the Bergheimat Hotel in the direction of the mountain railways and park your car at the valley station.
