Description

When the snow melts, Arabba turns from a winter skiing paradise into a bike resort, ideal grounds for cycling enthusiasts to face some of the most challenging climbs in the Dolomites. Bicycle riding is the ideal way to immerse yourself in the magic of these valleys; beautiful landscapes and accommodations specialized for cyclists guarantee an exciting stay. Arabba is the point of departure and arrival of several bike tours to suit everyone. Do not miss the Tour of the Four Passes around the Sella Group, an exciting cycling trail that goes both clockwise and counterclockwise. It is approximately 51 km long and crosses four mountain passes that have made Tour of Italy history (Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella and Gardena). and is the scene of numerous events including the famous Marathon of the Dolomites and the Sellaronda Bike Day. After getting past Campolongo Pass, the Val Badia valley opens wide; it rides along with mild ups and downs as far as Corvara before taking on the Gardena Pass. The fast transition to Pian de Gralba and the steep climb that leads to Sella Pass are spectacular. Pordoi Pass is the last and the highest, caressing the gentle grassy slopes between Sasso Pordoi and Sàs Bécé, finally ending the tour back in Arabba.
