Leave your car at the parking lot of Ventolone café and take the Atestino trail by a roadside shrine. Go east on the narrow road on the right side of the shrine, across the southern and eastern slopes of Mt. Piccolo. The trail runs at first across olive trees, then in wood and shrubland. Reach the hamlet of Corte Vigo and go down through the shrubland until a secondary road called via Ventolone. Follow the road through a green hollow with cultivated fields and up until a building known as the Priest's House. Go on along the eastern ridge of Mt. Orbieso; a short detour leads to the ruins of the Monastery of Santa Maria di Orbise on the hilltop (330 m).
