- Description
-
Recommended periodSummer The Cadore valleys are crossed by streams and dotted with picturesque alpine lakes and industrious villages and hamlets. Expanses of forests run up to the pale peaks of the Antelao, the Spalti di Toro, the wild Marmarole, the Crode dei Toni and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Hundreds of miles of dirt roads run around these peaks that have shaped the history of mountaineering and of the most extreme cross country competitions. These trails will test your skills and you will go back home with excitement in your heart. An ideal environment to dive into the heart of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site, breathing in the scent of the woods, listening to the call of the groundhogs, and admiring pasture lands, alpine lakes and the fiery red face of the Dolomites at sunset. The Cadore region is perfect for sports as well as relaxation. There are many fun things to do: visit the Eyewear Museum in Pieve di Cadore or the various farms offering cheese, honey and horticultural products.

Tre Cime Bike
The Cycling Track Auronzo - Misurina, the big attraction in the Tre Cime region is the bike path that connects Auronzo with the"Pearl of the Dolomites": Misurina. The first stretch, up to Palù San Marco (about 15 km), is suitable for all and the second toward Misurina is instead more demanding and particularly fun to do with assisted pedal stroke bikes. During the summer, the intermodal transport service TrenoBus of the Dolomites is active.
