Description

Fascinating trail in the middle of the famous jagged turrets of the "Bec de Roces" arriving at the natural "Boè" lake.

The trail starts from the Campolongo Pass, along path 640, up to the Bec de Roces, and then along the ascent towards the "Sass Quadro", a boulder with a curious cube shape, surrounded by mugo pines, stone pine and turrets. Path 640 intersects with CAI path 638, which leads to the mirrored Boè lake. Along the lake, you can take a walk to admire it from every angle, noticing the sudden movements caused by the presence of lively little fish, always happy to receive a few crumbs of bread. The return to the pass can be made along the path to Crep de Munt, then along the gravel road.

Directions

Departure from "Campolongo" Pass with the chairlift that takes you directly to "Bec de Roces", an area with small jagged “turrets",  where you can admire a 360 ° panorama view on "Porta Vescovo", "Marmolada", "Col di Lana" and the "Sella" group.

From here continue along the CAI 640 trail, passing through the "Quadro" mountain where you have a fabulous view of "Arabba" and the "Marmolada" glacier.

Continue in  direction of "Boè" lake, trail 638, here we recommend a stop at the natural lake and then continue on a dirt track (trail 638) back to the "Campolongo" Pass.
