Fane Alm...
the nicest alpine village from whole South Tyrol
The houses of the village Fanealm (1,739m above seal level) are set at the head of the Valser valley and built according to the ancient traditional timber construction. The bubbling mountain stream runs through extensive pastures, amidst the pastoral silence of nature, and not infrequently the whistling of the marmots can be heard. Slowly ascending, the meadows turn into a mountain side, covered by rhododendrons in summertime and inviting visitors to go snow-shoe hiking in the winter. The locals are much like their surroundings: cool, down-to-earth and natural. Thus, you may experience our hospitality at a traditional stop in a hut after a hiking tour, or during the Fane feast that takes place once a year, where locals and guests gather on the Alpine pasture to hold a party.

Panorama platform on the mountain Gitschberg...
an exciting view on more than 500 mountain-tops
On top of the local mountain of Maranza/Meransen, at an elevation of 2,510m and set amidst the holiday destination of Gitschberg Jochtal in South Tyrol, the sky almost seems to be within one’s reach. Enjoy the fantastic view of more than 500 mountain peaks, many of which exceed 3,000m in height, as the full panoramic field of view spans from the mountaintops of the Dolomites over the peaks of the Zillertaler, Stubaier and Ötztaler Alps. Below the high plateau, on the southern slope of the mountain, hiking enthusiasts can follow the beauty of nature and natural spectacles. But on top of the mountains, one can feel the astonishing calm and quiescent atmosphere of the high Alpine scenery and bask in the infinite freedom of the high altitude. The circular panoramic platform on the mountaintop helps you to spot the mountains and surrounding peaks by mapping out their names and heights, which moreover helps provide orientation.
In fact, from the upper station of the 4-person chairlift which carries winter sports enthusiasts up the slopes, you may easily reach the viewing platform and take in its unforgettable impression, before traveling back down into the valley on skis.

Mühlbach...
shopping and cappuccino with the flair of a medieval village
The market town of Rio di Pusteria in German: Mühlbach with its medieval charm is situated in the centre of the holiday destination. Meticulously renovated mansions and well-preserved frescoes, as well as ancient family coats of arms tell the history of this town, which was first mentioned in a document in the year 1056. Today, contemporary convenience and humble traditions complement each other harmoniously in this town, located at the interface and old trade route between the Isarco and Pusteria valleys. Tranquil squares and winding lanes invite visitors to slow down and take a break from modern life, while the busy life of the town centre is perfect for a leisurely stroll.
