- Description
-
A low-altitude itinerary that isn’t too difficult apart from the overall length, but this can easily be broken up into shorter legs. A very pleasant outing for the whole family. Lengthy but without any great elevation gain, this itinerary may be divided into multiple legs interspersed with breaks at the various mountain shelters along the route. The Vallesinella falls are nestled in an enchanting landscape made of streams and suspension bridges, as well as the welcoming lodges along the route, which make great spots for a visit and restorative break.
- Directions
-
Go to Hotel Gianna in Palù and continue on for about a dozen meters in the direction of the Vallesinella access road.
Take the trail on the left to Malga Vallesinella Alta. When you get to the malga, continue along past a series of bridges to the Cascate Alte (upper falls), then follow trail SAT 317B to Rifugio Casinei. From here, take trail SAT 317 to the equally stunning Cascate di Mezzo (middle falls). To return to Madonna di Campiglio, follow the trail indicated. You can also take advantage of the shuttle bus service, which leaves from the Vallesinella parking area and will take you back to Madonna di Campiglio in just 10 minutes (only during the summer season).
