- Brief description
-
During the First World War (1914-1918), the area around Fort Belvedere Gschwent was occupied by various logistical service structures, including, on the slope up towards the Cost pass, a barrack used as a bread oven. Only the tall concrete chimneys remain of the structure, hence the name of the locality, Camini.

- Description
-
This is a short hike that combines interest in historical artefacts from the First World War with nature and landscape interest. Also recommended for families with children over the age of 8. It is worth combining the hike with a visit to the nearby Belvedere Gaschwent fort.
- Directions
-
We follow the small road that leads to Fort Belvedere Gschwent. At the point where the asphalt road stops and the dirt road leading to the fort begins, we take the path up the slope. We enter a mixed forest, where resinous trees (pine, spruce) predominate, and which leads us, still on a medium ascent, to the Cost pass (1298 m). On the way we encounter the clearing with the two large concrete chimneys, which give the route its name. When we reach the pass, we turn left, follow the SS349 (with due caution) for about two hundred metres and enter the lovely little dirt road that descends the slope opening onto the Lavarone plateau. It is a beautiful vantage point. We descend past the small village of Longhi and turn left, until we rejoin the starting point.
