Trencin is a unique and beautiful city. If you'll go there by train from Bratislava, you'll notice the Trencin castle which is located high above the city, evem before you'll be in the city. Trancin castle is probably the main touristic attraction, so be ready to spend there around 3-4 hours. There is an excurtion with a touristic guide which can tell you a lot about Trencin castle life back though many ages. Altough the excursion is in Slovak language, you can still join it, even if you don't speal Slovak language, becouse without excurtion you'll not be able to go inside of the castle. By the way, there are a lot of information written in English inside the castle. You'll see some traditional falconry and hawking techniques outside. The way to the castle is going up on the hill. So, comfortable shoes are necessary to have. After visiting the castle there are more things to discover.

During the summer there are can be queues to buy a ticket to the Trencin Castle. It is better to come earlier in order to escape it.
