Stubaierhof's Innsbrucker Hut 2.369 m - EXTREME

The family Egger & Hofer from the Hotel Stubaierhof Neustift has worked at the Innsbrucker Hut, at the base of the Habicht for more than 70 years. The tour is a must for all Stubaierhhof guests.

To do the option EXTREME it is required to be in good shape and it will certainly be a rewarding hike!

Straight from the hotel you walk to the opposite bottom station of the gondola "Elferlift". Do not rejoice too soon: we do not choose the gondola. We hike up the valley along the banks of the stream till the next village "Neder". Follow the way till the Pinnistale getting started. Now the actual hike starts at the forest road upwards by the "Alten Kastern" to Issenanger Alp, where you may enjoy a little refreshment.

Now we continue towards the magnificent Pinnistal, past at "Gespaltenen Stein" to the Pinnis Alp.  The limestone cliffs inspire and impress. After another half an hour you get the Kara Alp, where a short rest is recommended. From there you change from the wide path to a steep path,  which has been newly renovated - a real treat.
The ever-steady incline leads over the "Alfe Binggl" (great view), past marmots and chamois hight up on the Pinnisjoch. We have reached our goal. The Innsbrucker Hut with an overwhelming panorama. On the sun deck we will be well entertained by the hosts Marlene & Francis Egger. Hurra die Gams!
