- Description

Beautiful hike to the end of the Voldertal valley via Vorbergalm, Steinkasern, Melkböden. Up to here forest road, then marked trail to the Naviser Jöchl (2479m).
- Directions
-
Mountain hike from Tulfes via Windegg into the Voldertal valley to Volderwildbad. The tour can be shortened by driving directly to the Volderwildbad car park and starting from there.
Along the Voldertal stream you reach the Voldertal hut. Once there, you continue into the Voldertal valley, which now opens up in front of you. After about 20 minutes you pass the "Dörfl", an idyllic cluster of huts.
Pass the Vorbergalm and continue to Steinkasern (2,002 m), a rustic alpine settlement (approx. 2.5 h), which is unfortunately not managed. From here we climb via the Melkböden in about 1.5 h to the Naviser Jöchl (2,479 m).The view up here is wonderful. We look down into the Voldertal, across to the Karwendel and south to the Tux Glacier and down into the Navistal.
Either return along the same route or descend via Grafmartalm and Peeralm to Navis, by bus to Matrei, by train to Innsbruck. (check bus times beforehand!)
This tour is also suitable as a Bike&Hike tour. With a mountain bike you can easily get to the Melkböden, from there you have to change to hiking boots!
