- Description
-
From the car park "Mure" in the center of Umhausen you walk comfortably through the district Neudorf. After crossing the Fundus bridge, follow the wide forest path to the crossroads Fundustal (left) and Leierstal (right). Hike the path to the left into the Fundus valley, pass the Vordere Fundusalm (not managed) and then hike on to the Hintere Fundusalm. A little further on there is the beautiful Fundussee. The Fundus valley in the eastern Ötztal Alps lies lonely and high above Umhausen. A hike up to the Hintere Fundusalm is worthwhile, not only because of the Köfler Waalweg, but also because of the loneliness and the beauty of nature. Green meadows and the crystal-clear Fundussee invite you to linger on a hot summer's day. If you want, you can visit the beautiful Fundussee or continue your hike on the Köfler Waalweg to the Frischmannhütte.
