Description
The Rocky way departs from the hiking starting point at Hüttling (pay & display), above the bathing lake.

You should walk along the forest road towards the Wilder Kaiser, accompanied by the rushing of the Sinnersbach stream, before bearing right.

Throughout the moorland, there are play areas for children, information boards with interesting facts and overview plans for orientation purposes. At the “stone hill”, a forest trail will lead you to the subsequent stations and then back on to the forest road. Follow the road through the well-shaded forest, always staying on the Rocky circuit that is identified with small stickers on the signs. You will then come to a clearing at this power place above Going that provides a wonderful view over the valley. The sheltered rest area is an inviting option for taking a break. After a break, you can either go back (the same route) or explore the last two stations.

From the "drei verkehrten Bäume" (three upside-down trees) follow the track downhill, over small, easy root paths and footbridges, then follow the forest path a little. Then it leads to the road and the way finishes with a large forest playground.
Take the same route back to the starting point at hiking starting point Hüttling.

The Rocky way is suitable for children from 5 years, as long as they are somewhat used to walking. Since the trail can be narrow and uneven with lots of exposed tree roots in places, it is not suitable for strollers. It´s a great trail for all ages but be prepared to carry little ones. A backpack carrier is a good solution for babies and toddlers.
Take a puzzle book from the tourist information office and have fun solving riddles. At the end of the hike, and when every square of the loop is punched out, young moorland explorers can pick up a small surprise gift at the tourist office in Going.
Attention: The same path must be taken back from the last station (forest playground) to the starting point

Tip: the guided family hike at the moor is just the ticket for anyone looking to learn more about this wonder of nature. Whether watching aquatic animals or enjoying a fresh snack you’ve picked on the way, there’s plenty to do on this voyage of natural discovery through Going’s crowning glory!
