Description: Despite the rather long ascent, this tobogganing tour in the Tux Alps is an experience for the whole family, as the track is easy to toboggan. There are only a few steep places and curves. In addition, we can enjoy the sun on the descent in the afternoon, which then shines on the toboggan run. We can stop for a bite to eat in a hut of the Alpine Club, the Weidener Hütte (1799 m). This is located on the way to the Geiseljoch, which is a waypoint for ski tourers on their way to Lanersbach.
Directions: The path to the Weidener Hütte is already marked on the car park and we follow it into the valley. Sections of forest and alpine pasture alternate, and about halfway up we can enjoy a wonderful view of the Tuxer Alps. After a total walking time of about two hours, we arrive at the hut where we can take a break and enjoy the view. The descent is also a pleasure with the Snooc sledge: the average slope does not make us go too fast, so that the few turns are easy to take. On the last stretch to the car park, we pull our Snooc sled.
