Description

The Viggar valley is completely uninhabited and extends under the Patscherkofel. Along the Mühltaler Bach we hike on forest and cart tracks up to the Meißner Haus, thereby coping with 630 meters of altitude difference! The descent is not for the untrained, rather locals meet here, and many hikers are on their way. The track is narrow and often very steep, the control of your own speed is very important here. The track is traced by the host of the hut with a snowmobile.

Directions

Starting from the parking lot, we walk along the creek until we reach the long Viggar valley. When this becomes a little wider, we already see our destination. The Meißner Haus is located on the left side of the slope. It goes up and down a little, we cross the stream and finally reach the cosy shelter where we can recover from the hardships of the ascent. We go down the same way, we pay attention to other winter sportsmen who are on their way up or down.

The descent starts quite harmless at first, but then becomes "fast" demanding. Caution and a controlled driving style are required on the whole descent. After this daredevil ride we reach our starting point again.
