- Description
-
Over the last few years, the Tamaro – Lema hike has earned a deserved reputation as one of the finest, most renowned in the Swiss pre-Alps. This hike is almost entirely along ridge-lines, and as you’ll be treading the border between Switzerland and Italy, it offers a spectacular aerial view embracing Lombardy, Piemonte, Ticino and Valais. The height difference is moderate except for the first part where you climb up to the summit of Monte Tamaro. Both Monte Tamaro, boasting many popular attractions, and Monte Lema can be reached by cable car from the end of March to the beginning of November.
