- Description
-
The tour starts in Loco. The village seems as if time has stood still here and enchants its guests with its charm. The trail leads past a pretty little church to Sella. On the way to the Passo della Garina you can enjoy the beauty of nature in this still very wild valley. The ascent passes in no time, as there is much to marvel at and discover. The Passo della Garina is known from the story "Man in the Holocene" by the Swiss writer Max Frisch, whose domicile of choice was the Onsernone Valley. On the pass, a wonderful panorama opens up, inviting you to linger. The pass is the crossing into Vallemaggia. The long descent leads via Corton, a beautiful hamlet above Moghegno, to Maggia. Maggia is a nice village with many cultural facets and an excellent infrastructure.
