Crossing the mount Latemar with Latemar peak

Transfer by shuttle to Obereggen (approx. 45 minutes) From Obereggen we take the chairlift to Oberholz. From here we hike along the beautiful serpentine path n. 18 in to a viewing platform. Then we come to a small cross and pass south of the Eggentalerhorn up to the romantic rock scenery in the Latemar group. Through the rock labyrinth partly steep into the Gamsstallscharte, where you also reach the high plateau of the Latemar. From there we walk a few meters downhill, follow the sign “Latemarspitz" on the left and cross the plateau east of the Erzlahnspitze towards Rotlahnscharte. We follow the signpost Karerpass n. 18 and cross below the Latemar towers to the Latemarscharte. After a while we reach the summit cross of the eastern Latemarspitze. We descent on the path n. 18 of the Latemarscharte and then via path 17 towards the Karer Pass. The last minutes we walk near the street down to Paolina. From there we take the bus back to the Cyprianerhof.
