Around the “Rosengarten”

Transfer with the bus to the Frommer hut, 1745m and with the chair lift to the Kölner hut, 2337m. At first over some rock stages secured with wire rope, and then we continue over a steep ascent to the “Tschagerjoch” (n. 550 - 2630m). Here we have a wonderful view to the “Marmolada”.

After a short and steep descent, the path brings us into the southern part of the Rosengarten up to the next pass, the Cigoladepass, (n. 541 - 2550m). You see the eastern side of the Rotwand (red wall), the “Mugoni” peaks and the Teufelswand.

Now again a beautiful descent, where we pass the south wall of the “Mugoni” peak and ascent to the “Vajolonpass” (n. 551 - 2560m).

At the west side we follow a steep descent which leads us to well frequented Hirzel path. Here we have a magnificent view to the red wall. Over these path we return back to the starting point, the Kölner hut (n. 549)
