Description: Starting from Hotel Muhr in the Pöllau Valley Nature Park, the hike leads down the valley to Pöllau, where the "Styrian St Peter's Cathedral" is located. There, numerous cafés and restaurants offer the opportunity for an enjoyable break. On the way back, which involves a few metres of ascent, we look forward to ending the day in the nature park's own wellness garden.
For the return journey by car, we can use the services of SAM - the shared taxi service in Eastern Styria. We can call SAM on +43 50 363738, although we should allow about an hour's waiting time. It is advisable to have the details of the pick-up points ready when you call: HF 5943 (Schlosszwinger) - HF 5842 (Waldhof Muhr).

Hikers should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time. Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any rubbish in the forest. Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest! In principle, every person in the forest is allowed to collect 2kg of mushrooms and berries per day for their own use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it
Tips: We recommend you take a look at the "Styrian St Peter's Cathedral" with its more than 8000 m² of frescoes and murals.
