Description

Of course, the physical well-being must not be neglected. Therefore, take your time to enjoy the culinary delicacies of the ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee region. The Genussrundweg begins in Anger near Weiz and leads you first on the adventure trail honey bee, in the fairy tale forest, then it continues towards Fresenkogl. Unique - under a material cable car, which still today delivers the talc stone from the Rabenwald to Feistritz near Anger you go through and come to the inn Bergenuss Holzerbauer. Here you can stop for a break to fortify yourself with culinary delicacies before continuing on to the "Eckzeiler Kreuz" and the "Kreilkogl". Always accompanied by the gently rolling landscape of eastern Styria. In Unterfeistritz, the next culinary stop awaits you, the "Stixpeter" inn, where great value is also placed on high-quality products from local producers. Strengthened, the tour then continues along the Feistritztalradweg R8 back to Anger.

Directions
The Genussrundweg leads you at the beginning along the "Erlebnisweg Honigbiene" into the "Märchenwald". Continue along the "honey bee adventure trail" past a fish pond to a road, keep left here and after about 50 m change to the other side and follow the markings "Blau|Weiß" and "Genussrundweg".After about 10 minutes of walking you will come to the "Schott-Hansl- Kreuz". The cross, which dates back to 1722, has been completely renovated and offers a magnificent view of "Keppeldorf and Schulhausviertel" in the municipality of Anger.Follow the markings "Blau| Weiß" (blue and white) and "Genussrundweg" (enjoyment circular route) under the material cableway, which still delivers the talc from Rabenwald to Feistritz bei Anger, and after about 0.5 km you will arrive at the Gasthof Bergenuss Holzerbauer, where you can stop for a break before continuing on your way after a good meal until you reach a road junction. Keep to the right and immediately after about 20m turn left. It continues on an asphalt road (very little used) until you reach the "Eckzeiler Kreuz". Keep right and follow the markings to the "Kreilkogl" cross.Downhill you continue to the red and fallow deer enclosure of the Schmalleger family. Here there is a self-service machine that is stocked with juices and homemade sausages and much more.

Afterwards, the trail continues fresh and lively along the Genussweg and takes you to the village of Lebing and on to Unterfeistritz, where the next stop, GH "Stixpeter", is already waiting for you. The owner family Kulmer also runs a fruit farm. Accordingly, you can enjoy liquid and solid apple products from their own production in the inn. On the cycle path R8 you walk along the Feistritz river under a viaduct to the mare's milk stud farm Töchterlehof ( the farm store is open), further to the cafe "Die Glocke". From there on the R8 back to Anger to the starting point.Take your time for this culinary hike and enjoy the special delicacies in the ApfelLand.

Tips for even more hiking fun: Rules of behaviour when hiking

A few tips on correct and fair behaviour in the forest: (Source: www.bundesforste.at )

Hikers should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time.Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any rubbish in the forest.Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest! In principle, every person in the forest is allowed to collect 2kg of mushrooms and berries per day for their own use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.
