- Description
-
A somewhat longer trail but without a doubt a family-friendly hiking trail, there are no major difficulties, a true pleasure hike.
(Quote Walter Ebner)
There are refreshment stops in the village or at the Bratlalm - wood-fired grill at the Bratlalm, closed Mon - Tue (03336/24270).
The excursion destinations on the circular route are also worth a visit. A special tip is the sea buckthorn gardens (0660/5270488).
- Directions
-
We start at the village square and turn right at the Pestsäule (plague column), after the Hotel Fast, and follow the markings (also trail no. 7 and Kraftpfad) to the "Tarbauer", then left past a "Waldhäuschen" (forest hut), a short steep stretch and we can really relax and recharge our batteries at the "Waldbaden" (forest bathing). Recovered, we reach the sea buckthorn fields via a wonderful field path. After the "Atelier Kroisleitner", we cross the road and come to a short section of forest again (or take the road to the left and immediately the next one to the right). Now we follow the asphalt road, past a few farms (trail no. 7 and Kraftpfad branches off to the right at "Hans im Winkl", we continue straight on), until we leave the road to the right after the Auer house "Hansl im Graben". A forest road/woodland path leads on to the "Antoni Taferl" - immediately after, take the left-hand bend - until shortly before the "Reitbauer" (small country). Now we walk along meadow and forest paths through the "Kleinwald" and "Auf der Halt". Continue - towards the village - past the "Schwingesbauer", "Poschn" to the "Poschn Bridge". Now turn right again and walk up into the forest until you reach the "Bratlam". The "Holzofenbratl", which we of course don't miss - but let melt on our tongues, is well deserved. After refreshment (including a schnapps from the Edenbauer), we cover the last few metres of the hike and arrive back at our destination, the village square.

A few tips on correct and fair behaviour in the forest: (Source: www.bundesforste.at )
Hikers should avoid visits to the forest about 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active during this time.
Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any rubbish in the forest.
Camping and lighting fires are strictly forbidden in the forest!
In principle, every person is allowed to pick 2 kg of mushrooms and berries per day for personal use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.
