- Description

This tour gives you a wonderful impression of the Mur Valley starting from the Red Bull Ring to the historic town of Judenburg, along meadows and fields leads most of the tour. Numerous destinations invite you to stop, visit, linger and enjoy.
We start directly at the Red Bull Ring - from here we head towards Fohnsdorf, where we can make a detour to the Therme Aqualux and the Fohnsdorf Mining Museum - and also shorten the tour.
For those who prefer to continue in peace and quiet, we can continue in the direction of Pöls. A beautiful place for a break, which also invites you to cool down, is the organic bathing pond Pöls. From here you branch off in the direction of the Mur cycle path and take a detour to the historic small town of Judenburg. Here you can take a break at the main square and also visit the Judenburg star tower, which offers a magnificent view over the town. For all museum lovers, the Museum Murtal and the Puch Museum are also a highlight. Especially in the Puch museum you can find numerous "oldtimer bikes", which many still know from their youth.
The tour continues along the Mur cycle path via Fisching and Zeltweg back to the Red Bull Ring.
- Directions
-
The tour starts directly in front of the Red Bull Ring and leads along a federal road (only partly on the bike path) to Fohnsdorf. Here you can make a stop and branch off a few hundred meters to visit the mining museum or take a detour to the Aqualux spa. Culinary tip: Hotel Schloss Gabelhofen
Continue along the main road in the direction of Pöls and take a break at the organic bathing pond Pöls where you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the shade.
Afterwards you take the Murradweg (R2), one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Austria, which leads you along fields and meadows to the small, historic town of Judenburg. Here it pays to plan a longer stopover to enjoy a magnificent view of the Mur valley from the Judenburg city tower or perhaps to visit a demonstration in the star tower located there and to get to the bottom of the history of the Puch vehicles in the Puch museum and of course to enjoy a meal or a coffee in one of the Schanigärten on the main square. Then continue along the Mur cycle path to Fisching, where you can buy regional products as nice souvenirs for home at the Zirbenshop Frewein or at Leichtfried Loden, where you can buy the highest quality loden.
