- Description
-
With an easy degree of difficulty, this bike route leads along numerous sights and forests to the Trabochersee.
The tour starts in Leoben's living room, the main square, from here you cycle along the Murradweg R2 via the districts of Göß and Schladnitzgraben to the bicycle hub of St. Michael in Upper Styria. Those who wish can fortify themselves in the old village center at Gasthof Eberhard t before continuing via Stadlhof and Madstein to the Trabocher See recreation center. After a delicious "Steckerlfisch" you will return to Leoben Donawitz via Hessenberg and St. Peter/Freienstein. Via the Waasen suburb, you finally reach the main square in Leoben again, where you treat yourself to a cool Gösser as a crowning finale.
- Directions
-
We start at Leoben's main square and follow the Murradweg R2, in the direction of St. Michael. Through the Schwammerlturm and over the Waasen bridge we turn left onto the Mareckkai. Along the Mur, this leads us in the direction of the district of Göss. On a level road the Murradweg leads into the Schladnitzgraben and further between the edge of the forest and the S 6, in the direction of the 18er Graben. After a short ascent, we reach St. Michael. At the traffic circle we now follow the R15 to Traboch and change in the center of Traboch to the R38a. After a slight ascent we reach the Trabochersee, a popular recreational area.... After we have cycled past the lake on the left, we go back on the other side for about 200 meters before we turn left in the direction of Hessenberg. For this we have to cross the B115. On a gently ascending side road we enjoy a magnificent panorama with the Reiting massif as an eye-catcher. After reaching the highest point, we descend through a settlement area to St. Peter Freienstein and to the R38, back to Leoben. First along the imposing factory plant, it then goes through the district of Waasen, back to the starting point of our round, on the main square
