GenussCard Tour Pöllauer Tal Nature Park - ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee

A scenic bike tour takes us from the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park, the realm of the stag pear and the meadow orchards, through the ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee, the largest apple-growing area in Austria, and back again. The total of 38 km could be comfortably completed in three hours, were it not for the many excursion destinations and restaurants...

The tour begins in the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park - the GenussRegion "Pöllauer Hirschbirne" - in the centre of the historic market of Pöllau. After arriving here, you immediately have the opportunity to have a snack at one of the many establishments on the main square and in the nearby alleys before heading south on the R57 to Schönau-Dorf. There you follow the HB18 cycle path towards St. Stefan.

After a short visit to the beautiful church of St. Stefan, you continue along the HB8 to Hofkirchen, past the Ballonhotel until you finally reach the ponds of Schielleiten. From now on, follow the HB2 cycle path to the centre of Stubenberg. Now you have to climb a few more metres until you reach the Gasthof Lex for a well-deserved break (HB9). From there it is only straight ahead and downhill. On the bike tour, many excursion destinations and restaurants invite you to rest and linger.
