Description
This bike tour offers the same highlights as the "sister tour" from St. Pongratzen. It leads past the beautiful Kapla Lake and over the legendary gravel ascent from Gradisce to Sveti Duh, it allows for a rest at the power place around the Svetij Duh church and it allows for a stop at one of the coolest inns in the border region in Svetij Duh at the 1000-year-old linden tree. On the other hand, the start of the tour via the Römerweg to the Radlpass, the climb on the Slovenian side to the Kapunerkogel and the return from Leutschach via a super cool loop over Eichberg/Trautenburg to St. Johann/Saggautal are different.

The "Römerweg - Urbani - Svetij Duh - all good things come in twos" tour is the mountain bike tour of your choice if you want to

want to get to know the Römerweg, one of the original climbs of the Eibiswald mountain bike scene up to the Radlpass, want to enjoy the wonderful view of the Pohorje Mountains from the Radlpass. want to experience what is probably the best-known mountain bike climb of all borderless tours on the Slovenian side with the ascent to Kapunerkogel, are looking for a really cool gravel bike tour or want to try out your new gravel bike on the super easy gravel tracks of the Remschnigg, want it to be really quiet and remote for once, are ready to let this silence take effect on you and want to combine a short holiday in seclusion with a challenging bike tour, love water and want to enjoy the jewel of a natural lake, Lake Kapla, in a completely unsuspected place, take a short detour from the tour to the mini-town of Kapla and enjoy a great espresso and snack in the shade of the church at the legendary Bar Olga, test your physical condition and give it a good boost at the same time, would like to get to grips with one of the easiest gravel climbs in southern Styria from Gradisce to Svetij Duh, want to spend some time and leisure around the Svetij Duh church and take in one of the most energetic power spots in the border region, want to enjoy a super good Kimbo espresso or traditional Slovenian cuisine under the 1000-year-old linden tree in Svetij Duh. After the Sveti Duh ascent, you still feel like climbing more metres and want to climb from Leutschach over the Eichberg to St. Johann/Saggautal.
Directions

Start from the starting point at the church in Eibiswald in a south-westerly direction and follow the route via the Römerweg to the Radlpass.
From the Radlpass, first descend on the main road in the direction of Radlje and then turn left into the Kapuneranstieg following the sat nav.
From Kapunerkogel to the crossroads south of the St. Pongratzen church, always stay on the Slovenian side.
Follow the gravel road to the Oberhaag border crossing, leave it on the left and continue south for approx. 1km.
After a short, winding gravel downhill, turn sharp left and follow the gravel road to Kapla Lake or "Odomovo jezero".
From Kapla Lake, follow the asphalt road to the crossroads below the small village of Kapla, which can be recognised south of the trail by a small cluster of houses and the church tower.
It pays to make a detour into the village and just chill somewhere in the shade or enjoy a very good espresso at Bar Olga.
From the crossroads below Kapla, follow the asphalt road in an east-southeast direction, roll through Gradisce, literally leave the turnoff to "Austrija" to the small border crossing in Schlossberg on the left and only turn half left towards Svetij Duh about 500-700m after this turnoff.
From there, an asphalt road leads in the direction of Svetij Duh, but after about 1.5 km it turns into a super cool gravel section.
About 2km before Svetij Duh, the asphalt road begins again. Shortly before the intermediate destination, you have to overcome a very poisonous short climb, then you have arrived in Svetij Duh.
From Svetij Duh you follow the road down to Leutschach, before climbing over the Eichberg in Leutschach and thus tackling the last longer climb of the day.
From St. Johann/Saggautal you finally roll comfortably along the cycle path back to Eibiswald.

Equipment

Check your bike after every tour for air pressure, spoke tension and brake pads.
A helmet is a must for every bike tour.
Think in advance about what equipment you need to take with you: warm clothing, rain and wind protection, a repair kit and first aid kit should be in your rucksack, as well as a charged mobile phone.

Safety instructions
Always drive at a controlled speed and at half visibility, especially on bends, as obstacles can be expected at any time (e.g. road damage, stones, branches, temporarily stored wood, grazing livestock, grazing grids, barriers, tractor-forestry machines, authorised persons' vehicles). Be considerate of other people, walkers and pedestrians. Only overtake at walking pace! Be aware of the difficulty of the route, accurately assess your experience and ability as a biker! Protect your head with a helmet and check your equipment (brakes, bell, lights) before every bike tour! Keep to barriers and please accept that some paths are primarily used for agricultural and forestry purposes! Be considerate of nature and wildlife, do not leave the marked route, refrain from riding off the open paths and finish your bike tour before dusk. Please do not leave any litter behind.

Attention: No liability! (*)

*) Mountain biking is a risky sport! The landowners, the Eibiswald cycling club, tourism association and municipalities accept no liability!

Some tours (see description) are "pure nature", the forest paths lead over roots, stones, streams, are partly washed out and are not maintained. Pushing and carrying passages are necessary depending on ability. We recommend private accident insurance or membership of the Alpine Club. Have fun!
