Brief description: If you want to experience the mountain in a special way without skis, take the Asitz or Steinberg cable car to the top station and join the winter hiking trail. Passing the TONspur island, the winter hiking path leads you to the first summit experience and continues along the ridge to the Sonnkogel where the Cinema of Nature with breathtaking views awaits you.

Description: Beautiful winter walk from the Asitz top station on the Asitz to the Sonnkogel open-air cinema, with views of the surrounding snow-covered Leogang mountains.
Directions: Float up to the Asitz top station at 1760 m on the Asitzbahn or the Steinbergbahn. This winter hiking path begins above the Alte Schmiede and takes you parallel to the piste, past the Kleiner Asitz, and on to the open-air cinema on the Sonnkogel. From here, you then return to the Asitz top station.

From Saalfelden or St. Johann in Tirol on the B164 to Leogang. The valley station of the Asitzbahn cable car is located 4 km outside of Leogang in the direction of Hochfilzen.

The valley station of the Asitzbahn cable car in Leogang can be reached by bus from the city center of Saalfelden and Leogang. The bus stop "Leogang Asitzbahnen" is located in walking distance to the cable car.
