Winter Hiking Schattberg Circular Trail

Immediately after the tourist office, turn right and walk along the cemetery wall, past the Haus der Begegnung and the kindergarden, until you reach the district of Urchen. Here you cross the main road and continue walking up the Urslau along trail no. 11 until you reach the Unterberg district. Keep to the right here and walk along the Jetzbach stream to the Bachleitbauern farm. Now the trail climbs slightly and you pass the Jetzbachbauer and Hangleiten farms. From now on the trail goes downhill again and over the Schloßberg back to Maria Alm.

Coming from Salzburg: Take the A10 motorway to the Bischofshofen exit, then take the B311 towards Bischofshofen. Follow the Hochkönig Bundesstraße/B164 to Maria Alm.
Coming from Innsbruck/ Kufstein: Take the Loferer Straße/B178 in the direction of St. Johann i.T., then follow the Hochkönig Bundesstraße/B164 via Saalfelden to Maria Alm.
