H03 Winkler Alm

From the car park of the 12er KOGEL valley station go over the bridge and head in the direction of the Westgipfelbahn and continue to the Schwarzachergraben. At first, the terrain is flat up until the Westgipfelbahn, before becoming somewhat steeper at the junction before the “Hintermaisalm”. Now continue straight ahead and follow the signs for the Winkler Alm. After approx. 35 min. turn right up to the middle station where you will find the Winkler Alm.

Directly at the parking lot at 12er KOGEL, take the bridge on the left in the direction of the Westgipfelbahn. After the meadow, orientate yourself towards the Westgipfelbahn and then hike towards Schwarzachergraben. Shortly after the yellow gondola lift, the path becomes relatively steep and you follow the path to the Hintermaisalm junction. Follow the signs for the 12er KOGEL middle station or Winkler Alm. The valley can be reached with the modern 12er KOGEL cable car.
