The tour leads over a sometimes very steep ascent to the Purtschellerhaus, the "House of Love". So it is called because of its special location. Only here could couples and lovers from Austria and Germany meet during the National Socialist period, because it is right on the border of the two countries.

Directions
Variant 1: Ascent from the Schwalberbauer car park, Gasteig (path 20, 451b), walking time around 2 ½ hours.

Variant 2: Ascent from the Ahornkaser am Roßfeld. Walking time 1 hour.

Turning right from the Gasteig at the Schwalberbauer, the ascent, which is very steep in places, begins through sparse mixed forest to the Dürrfeichtenalm. From there it goes moderately uphill to the Eckersattel (national border with Germany). From here another short but steep ascent to the Purtschellerhaus (stamp point, 16 points). Starting point for climbing or crossing the Hoher Göll to the Stahlhaus (only for very experienced hikers, very difficult, a head for heights and sure-footedness are essential). You can also return from the Dürrfeichtenalm via the Kuchler Schihütte and Hochschaufler or down to the Obersalzberg in Berchtesgaden.
