Fragrant floral meadows and the soft scented forest floor, an impressive long distance panoramic view over Altenmarkt as well as the mountain backdrops from the Tennengebirge mountains, Hoher Dachstein and the local Lackenkogel mountain make it well worth a visit.

From the startpoint head up to Bliembauer and then on to Ascherbauer on the gently climbing road (3km). Cross through the meadows and forest trail to Höchnössler with its swimming lake and on through the forest to Bifang Farm. Take the gravel track back down to the start.

Tauern motorway (A10), Altenmarkt exit (63) then Altenmarkt west, into Altenmarkt to the High St., turn left at the BP petrol station to the church, turn right to Zauchensee, go out of town and park by the Altenmarkt ski lift.
