This snowshoe hike leads from Lofer almost flat through meadows and forests via the Teufelssteg and the Scheffsnoth/Bairau district to Au. Through the subway we reach Maurach, from where the tour ascends and via Gasthaus Krepper there are approx. 400 metres of ascent to Loderbichl. From Loderbichl to Lofer we use the Almbahn I of the Almenwelt Lofer.If you prefer to go downhill with your snowshoes instead of uphill, you can also take the Almbahn I to Loderbichl first and walk the tour in the opposite direction.

Coming from Salzburg: Along the B178 and before the bypass tunnel turn right towards Lofer. After approx. 1.5 km you will find the start of the tour directly at the tourist office next to the main road. Coming from St. Johann/T. and Saalfelden: Take the Salzburg exit at the roundabout in Lofer. After approx. 400 metres you will find the start of the tour directly at the tourist office next to the main road.
