Medium- length loop trail with lots of variety, delightful scenery, and one of the most beautiful lookout points in the entire region.

This trail running route around Lake Ritzensee begins at the cross country stadium in Saalfelden. Follow the signage around the lake, then up the hill to the Klampfererhof inn. Take a right until you reach a wooden gate on the left. Cross the meadows up to the Kühbühel look out point (NOTE: Do not disturb grazing cattle!). Return to the gate and take a left. Follow the road via Niederhaus and Pfaffing until you return to the lake shore and the starting point.

BY CAR
Drive on the Pinzgauer federal highway B311 from Zell am See to Saalfelden. When reaching the second roundabout, take a right in the direction of Maria Alm. Follow the road for 750 m through the town center. Take a righthand turn and cross a bridge towards Lake Ritzensee. Follow the road for 700 m until you reach the Hotel Ritzenhof on your right. The parking lot is located behind the Hotel Ritzenhof on the righthand side. The starting point of this tour is located a few metres from the parking lot.

The starting point at the cross country stadium can be reached by bus from the city center of Saalfelden. The bus stop "Saalfelden Ritzensee" is located a few metres from the starting point of this tour.
