Cycling tour from Lofer via St. Martin and Weißbach to Saalfelden. From here the route continues to Leogang and Hochfilzen to the Pillersee. At the end of the tour you return to Lofer via Waidring and the Strub pass.
Stamina: Power for at least 5 hours of pedalling over 68 km with approx. 450 metres of altitude difference.
Short & sweet: The tour runs on well-maintained cycle paths - mostly on asphalt. At the beginning of the tour, the ascent is very gentle until you reach Saalfelden. From kilometre 25 to 40 you have to climb the most metres (approx. 250 metres). From here it's all downhill to Lofer. There are several places to stop for refreshments along the tour.
Tour Highlights: Lamprechtshöhle & Seisenbergklamm at the beginning of the tour. Bike park in Leogang, Pillersee or Kneipp facility Lofer to cool off at the end of the tour.
The tour is part of the "Biking with Kids" in Salzburg's Saalach Valley. Duration and level of difficulty are designed for children/families.

The Steinbergrunde with a start in Salzburger Saalachtal Valley. Starting in Lofer, the route leads via St. Martin and Weißbach towards Saalfelden. At Gasthof Schörhof you follow the cycle path via Lenzing to Leogang and Hochfilzen, the highest point of our tour. Once you've reached Hochfilzen, you've done your best, and now you'll be cycling leisurely down to St. Ulrich am Pillersee. If you feel like it, you can cool your feet in the crystal-clear water of the lake before returning to Lofer via Waidring.
In general, it is possible to "start" the Steinbergrunde at any of the surrounding villages.
