From Lofer you go via Scheffsnoth along the Saalach to Strohwolln. You then turn into a 180° bend, where the first climb begins. The road leads you up into the Wildental valley. After a short flat section, the road goes uphill again, past a few farms towards Hundalm, the highest point of the tour. The descent leads past the Auerweißbachalm and the Auer Wiesn back to Scheffsnoth and on to the start of the tour in the centre of Lofer.

From Lofer in the Salzburger Saalachtal Valley we cycle to Scheffsnoth and along the Saalach to Strohwolln. If you want, you can park your bike here and take the short walk into the Strohwollner Gorge - it's worth it. The route continues steeply uphill on the bike towards Wildental. From the Pöchtlbauer to the Hundalm, Auerweißbachalm and Holzstube and Auer Wiesen back to Scheffsnoth and the starting point in Lofer.

In addition to a water bottle, we recommend that you bring sturdy shoes, warm clothing and rain protection, a repair kit, first aid kit, mobile phone, light, gloves, sunglasses and something to eat. And of course, don't forget your helmet.

Be careful when going downhill and braking. The route is mostly on gravel roads.

Be sure to make a stop in Strohwolln and visit the impressive Strohwollner Gorge. The walking time is approx. 30 minutes. Free admission.

Coming from Salzburg: Along the B178 to Lofer. After approx. 1.5 kilometres, the start of the tour is directly at the Lofer information office next to the main road.
Coming from St. Johann/T. and Saalfelden: At the roundabout in Lofer, take the Salzburg exit. After approx. 400 metres, the start of the tour is directly at the information office next to the main road.
