The Baierwald Runde is a classic that can be driven from Wagrain or Kleinarl.
In Wagrain drive up Kirchbodenstraße and turn right at Café Anderl. Follow the street past the swimming pool parking lot until you come to Wolfensbergweg. Follow this paved road in a few bends to the Hotel Berghof or the middle station of the Flying Mozart. In doing so, a large part of the total altitude of this lap is covered. When you arrive at the middle station, the road changes to gravel and continues - mostly in a southerly direction - with a moderate steepness through the Baierwald. Always about 400 meters above the valley floor you get into Kleinarltal and can enjoy wonderful views over the idyllic valley. After 10.7 km there is the possibility to ski straight down to the valley floor, or to cycle 100 meters further and stop for Pongauer Kasnockn or homemade pastries at the family-run Gasthaus Galler. The return journey through the Kleinarltal to Wagrain takes place on cycle paths along the Kleinarler Arche, or in sections on the main road.
