- Description
-
On the occasion of the silver wedding anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth, the "emperors lime tree" was planted in Radstadt in the school garden in front of the Steirertor in 1879. In the same year the emperor personally visited Radstadt, where he was given an Edelweiss bouquet during his half-hour stay. In 1898, the Kaiser Promenade was created to mark his 50th throne anniversary.
- Directions
-
The promenade starts at the sports center and leads via Schlossstraße to Dörfl. From there, the path ascends slightly to Rossbrandstraße. Then it turns right to the heart of the Kaiserpromenade, from where you have wonderful views of Radstadt and the Radstadt Tauern. After crossing Bürgerbergstraße, the round leads past the Loreto Church to the old federal road. The starting point can be reached again via Boromäusweg and Schlossstraße.
