Description: Wonderfully secluded, this hiking trail leads along narrow, natural paths over the heights of the "Schwarzwälder Hochwald" forest around Weiskirchen and through the two nature reserves "Wahnbachtal" and "Behlengraben". In addition, the "Herberloch", an old quarry that has developed into a natural biotope over the years, is located along the path.

Depending on season and weather individual legs of hiking trails require a particularly sure foot. Therefore, please make sure to wear hiking shoes with rugged soles for traction and clothes that are appropriate for the respective season and weather conditions.
Directions: In order to get to Weiskirchen, take the motorway A8 from Merzig via Losheim. Via motorway A1 take exit Primstal to Wadern. In the town centre of Weiskirchen follow the signs for ‘ Kurzentrum ‘ . On your way, you’ll reach the ‘Freibad‘ (open-air swimming-pool), the starting point of this tour.
Public transportation: By bus R1 (from Merzig train station) or R230 (‘3-Seen-Bus‘, seasonal service from Mettlach train station) to ‘Weiskirchen Kirche‘, then approx. 10 min walking
