- Description

This tour starts above the idyllic Eisweiher pond at a hikers' car park. On a flat path, alternating with a short trail section, we cycle along the Dankelsbach stream, then follow it uphill to the right to our first downhill trail. The partly challenging descent takes us directly to the Beckenhof forester's lodge. After crossing the car park, we head straight back into the terrain, first on a wide path, then biking further up on a narrow trail. Once there, the trail leads us downhill. We cross the main road and stay on it for a short while before entering the forest again before Erlenbrunn. Short narrow paths alternate with forest road rides before we reach the "Drei Buchen" forest house. Perhaps a short stop here to catch your breath and have a snack is necessary. We continue after a short, steeper trail to the village of Glashütte, which we cross and are again rewarded with a trail on the opposite side. Then follows a longer climb towards Hüttenkopf on a wide path. This offers a beautiful view of the valley floor on the right. Then follows a short narrow trail on the descent, this ends in a longer descent on a forest road. Now the trail goes uphill again to the "Hohe List" hikers' hostel. Here you can take a longer rest. After the forester's lodge, the route first goes downhill and then in an easy up-and-down direction towards the Naturfreundehaus Niedersimten. Now we ride through the village of Obersimten, followed by a short trail downhill to the Rehmühle mill. The route continues alternately on natural paths and roads to Niedersimten. We leave the centre of Pirmasens on our left and pedal easily on a narrow trail through the play park past the ice pond back to the starting point.
